On April 11, 2008 Song blessed me with twin does sired by
AGS Velvet Acres Profiterole. This is only the
second time she has given me more than one doe at a time, and these are the
first does in 3 years.
Over the years many people have asked me about a Song doeling,
but I haven't had any to offer, selfishly keeping the last 3 (Ch
AGS Buttin'Heads Polished Apple, Ch
Buttin'Heads Black Iredsh Rose, &
Buttin'Heads Shalom -restricted leg) for myself. I've lost track of who
asked first, so I decided the only fair thing to do was to offer one of the
doelings at auction. This is not a bargain-basement auction, rather more like
the sale of a rare work of art. The starting bid is also the reserve: $1000.
This is the amount I have gotten for Song's last 4 bucklings, including this
doeling's older full brothers. The bid increment is only $1. I realize $1000+ is
a lot of money for a baby goat, and I don't want to make it unnecessarily higher
with a large bid increment.
The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping costs,
including but not limited to CVI, testing, and crate (as needed). $100 deposit
must be received within 2 business days after auction end, with the balance due
before shipping or taking possession. PayPal is accepted, but a 3% premium is
charged to cover fees. Up to 30 days will be allowed for transportation
arrangements. Delivery is possible to the ADGA Nationals in Louisville or to
other shows I will be attending this summer. If the winning bidder fails to
follow through with payment arrangements, the next highest bidder will be
contacted and any deposit paid will be forfeited.
The winning bidder will be able to name the doeling, as long
as it fits my system. The name must start with Buttin'Heads, have something to
do with a custom or tradition, and have "pro" in it. ADGA registration (and
transfer if to an ADGA member) is included in the winning bid. An AGS
registration application will be given if desired.
If something should happen to the doeling causing her to not
be sale worthy, either before the end of the auction or before possession is
taken. the sale will be considered voided. Any deposit paid will be refunded or
may be applied toward another available goat at the winning bidder's option.
